PET Process

The production of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) mainly adopts the direct esterification polycondensation process. Using high-purity terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG) as raw materials, a slurry is prepared in a certain proportion and sent to the reactor. The esterification reaction is carried out at high temperature to generate the monomer of polyethylene terephthalate (BHET). Then, it enters the pre-polycondensation and final polycondensation stages. Under high vacuum and high temperature conditions, small molecules are continuously removed to gradually increase the molecular chain, forming a polyester melt with a certain molecular weight and viscosity.
The melt is cut into uniform particles by the underwater granulation system, and then undergoes post-treatment processes such as crystallization, drying, and sieving. Finally, qualified PET pellets are obtained. According to different applications, it can be divided into bottle grade, fiber grade, etc., and is respectively applied in food packaging, beverage bottles, textile fibers, etc. The entire production process is continuous and stable, with high product purity and uniform quality.
